In March 2021, the coastal town of Labuan Bajo became the stage for a milestone groundbreaking event, symbolizing the beginning of a major energy infrastructure project. Beyond the ceremonial aspects, the gathering needed to reflect the strategic importance of the development and host a high-profile audience including government ministers, regional leaders, and corporate executives. For us, the task was to create an environment that balanced formality, protocol, and seamless hospitality within an inspiring setting.
The occasion called for more than a symbolic gesture. The aim was to communicate a commitment to reliable energy distribution and sustainable regional development, while ensuring that government officials, executives, and local representatives experienced an event delivered with precision. Every detail had to align with both protocol standards and the unique character of the town, while also reflecting gravitas, professionalism, and care in line with our client's vision.
We curated a welcoming environment beginning with a branded gate, banners, and clear signage leading into the venue. A VIP holding area offered comfort and exclusivity, while health and safety were prioritized with an antigen testing tent for all registered attendees. Guests received souvenirs during registration before moving through a gallery walk that highlighted the project's significance. On stage, a series of speeches from senior leaders and ministers set the narrative, culminating in the symbolic button-pressing and groundbreaking procession. Throughout, we managed staging, ambience, and flow to ensure that each moment felt polished yet organic, capturing both ceremonial gravitas and a celebratory spirit.
The event ran seamlessly, welcoming national and regional dignitaries in a program that delivered both clarity of message and strong visual impact.
