Galeri Perempuan Hebat Bank OCBC NISP

Inside the historic Sarinah building in Jakarta, our client wanted to unveil a campaign-driven gallery infused with storytelling and knowledge sharing that celebrated the legacy of Indonesian women. Inspired by national heroines featured on recently redesigned banknotes, this initiative was a creative expression of the bank's values and its long-term commitment to women's empowerment. We were tasked with bringing this narrative to life through a carefully designed experience that blended cultural storytelling with contemporary relevance. The challenge was to create a space that felt inspiring and intentional. Every visual and spatial element needed to carry meaning while delivering a smooth and emotionally compelling experience for both internal teams and invited guests.

Our client launched this campaign to strengthen its message around inclusivity and leadership. The gallery aimed to amplify the stories of Indonesia's historic female figures while connecting them to the bank's vision for modern progress. This initiative also served as an opportunity to inspire internal reflection. By transforming a cultural and historical reference into a living brand experience, our client encouraged its employees to take pride in the values that define the organization. The goal was not only to educate and inform, but to build an emotional bridge between personal identity, company culture, and collective memory.

We reimagined a section of Sarinah as an immersive gallery offering more than just visual engagement. Choosing Sarinah added symbolic significance, as the building is named after an influential woman, situating the experience within a space rich in women's cultural heritage. At the center stood a large-scale portrait of Keumalahayati, Indonesia's first female admiral, reinterpreted to make her story feel relevant and alive. The design relied on layered storytelling, ambient lighting, and carefully placed narrative cues guiding guests through a reflective journey. Complementing the visual exhibition was a talk session featuring voices both from within and outside the organization. The team's coordinated red-patterned attire reinforced a strong sense of unity and identity. Every design choice, from spatial layout to interactive elements, was made with clarity and intention to support the brand message.

The event generated strong internal momentum. The attendees engaged with the gallery, using the space to reflect, reconnect, and share their experience. The activation fostered a deeper sense of purpose within the organization and helped introduce the women's movement with renewed emotional weight. The campaign was received as a thoughtful and timely brand gesture. It sparked meaningful dialogue among visitors and created new opportunities for brand affinity. The result was a well-executed campaign that brought together purpose, place, and people in one cohesive experience.
